Spotlight on Filipino ICT innovators, creative entrepreneurs
e-Services 2009 also paid tribute to the country’s ICT innovators and entrepreneurs whose innovative ideas carry tremendous potential in the international market.
This year’s winners are:

Infoview by Corebuilt Technologies, Inc.
Outstanding Client Application of the Year

Corebuilt, a software company, proves that Filipinos are innovators by heart. Their product Infoview that won for them the e-Services Award this year came about when their European client had problems with their digital signage solutions. Corebuilt developed an entirely new digital signage solution that can show different content types, from Powerpoint to video, internet feeds, and Excel data, explained Lee Zamora, project manager of Corebuilt.

This is particularly useful when screens are located in difficult to reach locations or public spaces where onsite adjustments would be inconvenient or disruptive,” Zamora added. “By winning the award, we wanted to use it to promote the company and the Philippines as a viable option when looking for innovative software development capability.

INF Dictation Capturing System by NEXT IX Inc.
Outstanding Consumer Application of the Year

Newspapers are not the only ones going online. Using open standard software, local ICT companies are also tapping into their creativity to leverage on the internet to offer communication systems.

Philippine company Next IX, Inc. continues its bid to drive technology to the next level with their internet-based dictation capturing system

According to Bobby Suson, chief executive officer of Next IX, Inc said the current product is being used by major companies to capture voice dictations from countries like the United States. “We see the internet as the infrastructure of the future for consumer applications. Thus, legacy
applications like a dictation capturing system should evolve and go online.”

In the past, Philippine companies get phone dictation services from US providers that could be very expensive.

“We are targeting China for our products and hope to continue promoting innovations that are researched and developed in the Philippines,” added Suson.

“The Award gives our company credibility when marketing in the international market. Clients become more receptive and gives us 90% probability to close the sale.”
