On its 10th edition, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) is inviting all local and foreign individuals and organizations in the ICT/BPO industry and its allied sectors to be a part of e-Services Global Sourcing Conference & Exhibition to be held on 8-9 February 2010 at the SMX Convention Center, Philippines, by submitting original Conference paper proposals and the chance to speak before a crowd of C-level executives, IT practitioners and industry analysts.

e-Services is the Philippines’ premier annual Exhibition and Conference event which is geared towards the promotion of the country as the preferred outsourcing destination worldwide. It is positioned to be the largest IT-Enabled Services (ITES) sourcing event in Southeast Asia, creating a platform for ITES players to meet, network, and build partnerships with investors and organizations contemplating an outsourcing relationship – all in one venue. The Exhibition showcases the region’s ITES providers, while the Conference features industry champions and consultants in the ITES industry as speakers to share their experiences and expertise.

On 8-9 February 2010, the e-Services Conference will again serve as a meeting place where global thought leaders, decision makers, and centers of excellence in global Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and business process outsourcing (BPO) converge and collaborate with one another to discuss trends, issues, and emerging business models in the IT business.

At the e-Services 2010 Conference, industry authorities worldwide will come together to address the challenges of making ICT work for you and your business: how to develop sustainable and responsible IT strategies, the latest IT programs and software that can make your enterprise more efficient and save costs, as well as, transformational opportunities for well-connected networking and management – are just some of the topics that will be taken up in this event.

Conference paper proposals are now accepted!

Now that we're moving past the crisis, companies need to recognize that the way to get and stay ahead is to take advantage of resources and capabilities that the rest of the world offers. e-Services 2010 Conference will delve deep on the relationships of various IT and ITES which share the same vision -- to prosper and maintain the company’s competitive advantage during these troubled times.

Conference paper proposals shall revolve around the Conference theme – “Bright Skies Ahead: Collaborating for Smarter Business Solutions.”

The e-Services 2010 Conference is a two-day event with the following format:

Day 1 (8-Feb): CEO Plenary Session
World-renowned industry experts and analysts discuss the latest trends, forecasts and challenges facing the global ICT and BPO industry. Through keynote speeches and panel discussions, speakers present how their organizations’ smart business solutions help them manage to keep afloat and remain competitive in the business.

The Conference seeks original contributions on, but not limited to, the following topics:

  • Global Sourcing Trends
  • Cloud Computing
  • Green IT
  • Virtualization
  • Social Networking and Services
  • Data Privacy and Security
  • Intellectual Property Management
  • Technology Management
  • Business Continuity and Risk Management
  • Industry-Government-Academe Collaboration

Day 2 (9-Feb): Sectoral Tracks
Sectoral Track topics are designed to identify enterprise opportunities, emerging technologies, best practices and new business models for specific sectors of the ICT and BPO industry. International and local speakers are industry practitioners with vast experience in their respective fields. The tracks will provide the conference delegates a closer look at business opportunities and future trends in various sectors through in-depth lectures, hands-on trainings and live video conferences.

The Conference seeks original contributions on, but not limited to, the following sectors:

  • Software Development
  • Game Development
  • Animation
  • Supply Chain & Logistics Management
  • Knowledge Process Outsourcing (Finance & Accounting, Engineering Design Services, Legal Transcription, Medical Transcription)

  • Next Wave Cities

  1. The Call for Papers is open to all local and foreign individuals and organizations in the ICT and BPO industry and other allied sectors.

  • Paper Title
  • Abstract
  • Brief CV of the Author
  • Brief company background

 

Conference Paper format:

  • Not more than 15 pages (in A4 paper), excluding the above Cover pages
  • Single-spaced
  • Font size: 12
  • Font type: Arial or Times New Roman
  1. Conference paper proposals must be original and should be accompanied with corresponding references.
  2. All entries must be in English.
  3. Authors will be notified through email by the e-Services team upon receipt of the entry.
  4. Interested parties may send as many entries as they can in both the CEO Plenary Session and Sectoral Tracks.
  5. All entries will be judged by the e-Services Technical Screening Committee according to the following criteria:
  • Relevance to the Conference theme
  • Originality
  • Innovativeness
  • Practical Application

8. Authors of the winning entries will be notified on or before 18 December 2009.
 9. Authors of the winning entries will receive the following privileges:

  • Opportunity to present their paper at the e-Services 2010 Conference and be among the distinguished Conference Speakers
  • All-access pass to the Exhibition, Conference and Special Events activities (Networking Reception, e-Services Awards)
  • Regular roundtrip economy airfare
  • 4 days/3 nights (foreign speakers) or 3 days/2 nights (local speakers) hotel accommodation during the event proper at a designated luxury resort-type hotel

Deadline of submission: 30 November 2009

CITEM recognizes that intellectual property right of the Conference paper proposals belong to the author. CITEM will not use or distribute the proposals without the written permission of the author.
